Have you struggled with meditation and think it’s not for you? Are you curious about it or just need a refresher? This talk by 3 seasoned meditators aims to simplify the process, describe how it works and why meditation is such powerful practice.
Claudia Wenning is a holistic health provider who has been immersed in meditation practices for 45 years. She believes meditation is the “art of listening.” It can be a way of life and is the element of living a grounded and joyful life. She will emphasize the use of all our senses to effortlessly enter a meditative state and how that changes our brain waves and resets our nervous system.
Candice Stein has spent the last 18 years studying meditation and advanced yogic practices. She describes meditation as a tool for going beyond the mind and teaches us how to discipline the mind to allow for an authentic connection with the present moment. She will explain how using mantras can open pathways to new depths of silence, peace and ease.
Paul Jacobson has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 40 years. He has been practicing Tibetan Buddhist meditation since the early 1990’s. He will be discussing principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with aspects of Tibetan Buddhist Meditation.
Topics will include the CBY triangle, choice, change, and applying meditation in our daily lives to increase happiness and fulfillment.
