JU-DRUM AND SEED N SOIL
Ju-drum was born in Edo State Nigeria, West Africa, to Madeline and Daniel Noruwa Osadolo along with 8 brothers. Ju-drum was raised with and taught performing, and recording music professionally since the age of 14. Beginning his musical career playing the drums, he played from the time he could barely reach the kit. He played for churches and would go home and play more at his fathers music school recording demos at “3face” music studio.
When Ju-drum was a child his father had his own band called Jedi No Refe dance band. His father traveled the world playing with Bongos Ikwue, O.J Ekemode, and Sonny Okosun, while his mother Madeline, along with Ju-drum and his brothers managed the studio, school, and restaurant.
Ju-drum’s first band he created with his brothers and friends “Jah Blessings”, was signed with Afro Desia records with their hit album “Bongo Man” touring West Afrika. Ju-Drum played with many popular artists in Nigeria and then joined Femi Kuti’s band Positive force in the early 90’s, playing and touring the world recording hit songs like BANG BANG BANG, Wonder Wonder, Truth Don Die, etc.
Ju-drum presently resides in California singing his own music, and has been collaborating with various artists and opening shows for different artists including Richie Spice, Black Uhuru and Midnite. Ju-drum is not just an amazing drummer, he has a strong beautiful melodic voice to go along with his positive and passionate lyrics. Mixed with his ability to create beats like no other, he also writes, produces and arranges his own music. Ju-drum just released a new album with the band Seed-N-Soil, “ENERGY”, which was recorded at Universal Balance Studio. ENERGY is a wonderful blend of afro/reggae/hiphop. Ju-drum makes music for all the people, young, old, and all walks of life.
