Willits National Night Out

This year we are working to bring back National Night Out to Willits! Willits PD is hosting with support of the Willits Police Officers’ Association to help make it possible this summer on August 4, 2026.   National Night Out is an national community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make out neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Willits POA has stepped in as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to be able to accept donations on behalf of Willits PD for this year’s event. Our last event was in held 2023 which was well-received with food, fun, and games (and bounce house) for all. Feedback received from the event was a wish for more involvement and a larger community outreach. Attempting to make these improvements in following years, plans ultimately fell short due to funding and department staffing.   Because National Night Out is a community-building campaign, we’re interested in incorporating all aspects of what makes Willits a great place to be. If you would like to make a donation in support this event, represent your organization as a booth to get the word out, or have another idea aligned with strengthening police-community partnerships – then we’d like to hear from you!
